Lois Skillings is a nurse, healthcare leader, executive coach, and consultant. With a strong background in executive leadership, she has served in a variety of roles including that of hospital president and chief nursing officer. Lois is a trusted and experienced executive coach to healthcare and community non-profit chief executives as well as senior and emerging leaders. She is a dynamic facilitator of strategic planning and team retreats.

Team and board retreat facilitation
An experienced facilitator, Lois has a way of ensuring engagement of the entire group while creating a safe space for healthy discourse. Working with leaders in advance of a retreat is one of the most important factors to a successful retreat through establishing a sound agenda and expectations. Lois will work with your team to leave the retreat with specific outcomes of the day and strategic next steps. She is skilled at both fostering deep discussions and moving things to resolution so people leave the event with a sense of accomplishment and direction.
Lois has presented at conferences and served as a guest lecturer and panel speaker on topics such as effective leadership communication and relationship skills, transforming health care and health policy, self-care and resilience for leaders, managing change in complex and challenging times.
